As you might have noticed (or not), I'm very much with the not posting lately, but how can I not share these?

No frogs toads (!) were harmed in the making of this post. :D

Dude, a frog is not a reptile! But yeah, they are kind of squishy. And very light. :D

They come in pretty colours, though.

I have more pictures! There was one dark-ish green frog...looked kind of like...a pickle.

I love amphibians--and reptiles! Ooh, he is so neat looking, and with eyes worthy of a CG monster in a big budget film.

I like the eyes in the first one where the sun gives it that extra mad glint. *g*

When it wanted back in the water (Well. I guess that's what it wanted. *g*), it made this sad, little squawky sound.

Innit cute? There were dozens of them! Also, dozens of little kiddies who were all delighted. (Yes, you could distinguish me from the five years old. I'm kinda...taller.)

How can you tell, omg? It has a narrow body! It was all wet! (From...uh, the water, I guess.)

Okay, my research was limited to googling pictures of frogs and toads before I posted this, but it looked a lot more like the frog pictures! (And also not like toads I've seen before.)

Tell meeeee.

Google is populated by idjits who wouldn't know a frog from a moose if the latter turned over their car.

Okay, fine, maybe THEN.

Frogs don't have warts, frogs are slime-slippery (not just wet; that's from the water), frogs don't have the ridges behind their eyes that you can see quite clearly in your pic, and ooh, look, I found this:

Ohhhhh! So the ridges are a more or less definite sign? Coolness, thank you! *beams*

As someone who has spent her childhood in wet meadows with Keschern -- I'm pretty sure this is a young toad or something in that direction, anyway: the warts and the eye-ridges and the presence of slime are pretty definite, AFAIK.
