Whee, off to Berlin tomorrow!

I've been to Paris, but never to the capital of the country I live in. It's kind of-- I'm not sure, odd?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be staying for a week, which hopefully gives me enough time to explore.
Getting to know a new city, especially one with a rich history, is wonderful. In fact, travelling in general is my idea of fun. It's also why I love train stations and airports. :)
To do when I get back:
- Finish thing for C., even if it does take hours
- Finish thing for
eretria, because she's been waiting forever
- Make appointment with dentist
- Make appointment with ophthalmologist
- inquire about visa at the consulate
- Get started on paper, because I've not written even one of the 10-20 pages and it's due in fucking January

I wondered what all the little kiddies were doing on the underground until I realized they were going to watch HP.

Date: 2005-11-20 05:25 pm (UTC)Well, just one way out of this now - you're going to have to visit the city again, and then please tell me beforehand, so we can plan on a meeting. Many places to see which are better discovered with and explained by a "native". :o)
Did you have fun, then? What did you see?

Too true! *sigh* I did have a lot of fun though. :)
Okay, lets see...Pergamon Museum, Deutsches Historisches Museum, Brandenburger Tor, Holocaust Mahnmal, Kaiser Wilhelm Gedaechtniskirche, Checkpoint Charlie, Stasigefaengnis Hohenschoenhausen, Berliner Dom, Palast der Republik, Juedisches Museum, Gedenkstaette Deutscher Widerstand, Bundestag.
Dear God. Until now, I hadn't realized I'm such a tourist. In the evening/nights it was restaurants and clubs. And of course, I spent an afternoon shopping and getting to know Unter den Linden, Potsdamer Platz etc.
Sleep deprived, but not dead. I'm really kind of surprised.
