Walks like a duck, goes quack

Quick, tell me about places that are enjoyable, but are made less so by the crowds of people visiting at the same time! The next time there's a football match I'll go there and have fun.

I just went out to get some ice cream and found myself in something straight out of a Western. Total abandoned ghost city material! Closed shops, deserted streets, people huddling around campfires TV sets. Here and there you could spot lonely figures scurrying through the back alleys, stopping only to ask you why you haven't run for your life yet aren't watching the game.

Wait. Was that tumbleweed?

Half a world away, zombies walk the streets in the day.

I'm scared now.

Well here is pretty quiet and I have heard rumours that fun can be found if you are willing to venture outdoors. Only it is possibly a tad on the extreme side for escaping football, and you'd only get lumbered with AFL anyway ... :)

How very nineteenth century fo them.

*clings to you* God, how I want to. Extreme is good.

*pet* Come and invade the wonderful, peaceful place that is here. The football broadcast at 2 am - so you can even sleep through it without any trouble.

Apart from New Zealand, you can't get much more extreme than here.
