That is quite possibly the greatest icon ever! (or at the least the greatest icon made from the Hewlett profile) and it's not even about the Hewlett! /shock I may have to watch the profile again for more flashlight fun.
I thought he had a leather jacket on in the promo pics for Sateda (you know.. the blue lighting one) but I thought I was seeing things. Hoped I wasn't seeing things, but didn't dare...
I am not seeing things. Am I glad? Oh yes. HELL YES.
*falls to the floor in a little puddle of melt*
Also - combat boots! John has developed combat boots.
Yes dammit. The unlaced ones. I have.. err issues. *nods* That is what I am calling them. He had to just go and develop leather and boots.
*thinks* Personally I like the textures that leather has when it is against other material/skin. It is such a heavy and dense material that it just adds sensory levels when combined - there is an episode still of John with his gun, and you can see that he has on the leather, plus tac-vest and shirt. Put all those together? You get drool. Drool and itchy fingers. Oh and I know what leather smells like too ... so it is like a full olfactory hallucination. :P
I am not forgetting the black shirt or jeans. See above mini-thesis on leather/texture. :P Or the other jeans. Or ... *takes a deep breath*
I won't survive the opening scenes of the season at this rate.
ha HA! I love how the left-hand one is all "Here is Rodney with alll the pretty ladies plus Ronon (also pretty) clustered happily around him. Oh, Sheppard's over there."
I think the producers realized Tori had a mom-haircut and made her grow it out.
Also, I'd like to say that she looks slightly less super-SUPER-thin (as in, in that second picture with the leather jacket, she seems to actually qualify as almost having BACK, and I approve. Also, that leather jacket kicks ass.
I looked at the Flanigan-in-the-middle picture first, and was prepared to be all indignant about how everyone else got sexy clothes, and they stuck Rodney in a science shirt behind the pillar, but then I saw the OTHER picture, and, yes. WOO.
Of course, I'm getting married the DAY AFTER the premiere, so not only will I miss it, I'm forcing all the SGA fangirls in my neck of the woods to miss it. Le sadness!
Fan service! By now, it's very obvious that half the fandom is panting after Hewlett. But hey, I can understand why so many manips are popping up on the flist. It's so you can stare at the pretty without tearing yourself apart. Mmmm, Rodney in a black t-shirt. Mmmm, Sheppard in leather. Look, I have a crappy tiny monitor, okay?
But I liked the mom-haircut! I agree, though. She looks cute and most importantly, not like stick woman.
Le sadness, indeed! Except for, you know, the marriage part.
