Is it something in the air?

Apparently, the whole SGA fandom is newly addicted to genderfucking fic. Girl!John or Girl!Rodney stories are popping up everywhere. What's up with that? And how can I help, so it doesn't stop ever again?

Resolution #374: I will leave more feedback.
That probably bears repeating because I'm really horrible at it.
If an author poured so much thought and time into a story, it feels like cheating to just drop a one line comment. While I don't think that getting heaps of Loved this! Write more! Kthnxbai! is too tedious, it's probably more satisfying to read detailed feedback.
I hate my inability to describe fic and how it makes me feel. That's why the comment box is not my friend. If a story amazed me, it can be incredibly frustrating to sit in front of the monitor and try to point out if it was the pacing, the characters' voices, or the overall writing style.
But I can change my behaviour. I will change it! And there will be a time when I won't spend half an hour agonizing over what to type.

So to answer your question: uh, I guess you could write my history essay? ;-)

It's everywhere! It's like chocolate covered crack! Not that I'm complaining, mind you.
History essay? Sure, no problem. How many pages? I'll give my all for the greater good. ;)
