Especially by comparison now that I've got the DVD set, S5 loses quite drastically. But it also has AWESOME eps, and FABULOUS moments. Go forth and watch, babydoll!

I dropped out somewhere in season 4. I can't figure out if I should finish. I mean on one hand, probably some awesome moments with my favorite characters, on the other I don't want to ruin the good thoughts I remember it with.

Usually I tell people to just get it over with but if you already dropped out in season 4 I agree that you might be better off with your current vision of the characters.

Oh boy. I'm one of those people who liked season 1 the best, and since each successive season got further from that type/feel, I think you're probably quite right.

My cure for Atlantis ennui turned out to be Farscape. It is like SGA fandom/fanon, but in a tv show.

I's say just watch Remnants, Vegas and Enemy at the Gate and skip the rest. And i second the Farscape rec.
