Dear Father,

Whom I begged not to go grocery shopping before leaving for a two weeks vacation.

What the hell should I do with twenty eggs?

A lemon tarte would take care of at least 8 of them ...

Sounds perfect for warmer weather!

Get very constipated?

I jest, eggs are lovely. I ate two a day for half of last week because I'd forgotten I already had a box in the firdge when I went shopping. Hard-boil a bunch of them? always good in sandwiches, salads etc and will keep better like that too.

:D I do love me some eggs, yes. Hard-boiling is a good idea, it's getting warmer again, which means salads 24/7!

Mmm, creme brulee. And ice cream. And if you just use the yolks you can make coconut macaroons with the whites.

Eggs last for ages in the fridge, though, so don't feel like you need to actually use them. When I lived on the sailboat, we would regularly buy eggs in quantity (knowing that we wouldn't get any for a long time, or that they'd be super-pricy) and expect them to last for two months. You should open them carefully when they're that old, but I actually never had one go bad.

I get hearts in my eyes at the mention of creme brulee, but I'm rather lazy at the moment, so there will probably be heaps of scrambled eggs on my menu.

Mm, I regularly store them in the fridge anyways (though not for two months ;)

I didn't want to make American assumptions - in most of the Caribbean (which boggles me, because, it's HOT!) eggs are not ordinarily refrigerated either at stores or in homes.

I recall a discussion about egg storing habits, actually. (Not over at your journal, though? :)

Come back to me? I can get rid of them in 2 (two) creamcheese+cherry cakes (I even have some frozen cherries because I never ever have any real fruit so I had to save them) or 5 tiramisus.

You should come on tumblr. I'm told you/r posts are pitchperfect for that. Me, I might do it because I wrote such a fantastic cross-over review - in my HEAD - and only the sms to you that obviously, all I can do is click and point.
ETA: *overcautious* that is not meant to say you are twittering. And I still want you to waste work time with me on scrabble as well. Also stop your countrywomen spreading deadly diseases.
ETATETA: that is not meant to say that you are sick!

Glad your dad's okay btw, I got worried at that start.

Tiramisu has coffee in it, bleah.

I don't understand how tumblr works! There are many pretty pictures... yeah, the thought process stops here.

To tweet or not to tweet, that is the question. As well as a horrible mutilation of Shakespeare.

Ah, well, make it with more cocoa and rum instead.

Nobody does; in fact I know nothing yet more than oldtimers.

You graverobber, blech.

Well at least you prolonged my torment aobut the DW ending for a bit.

That is really helpful. It provided me a number of ideas and I'll be placing them on my web site eventually. I'm bookmarking your blog and I'll be back. Thanks again!
